Description
The carbon exhaust heat shield for the Streetfighter V2 is a visual highlight in the center of the motorcycle. But it also offers technical advantages. Carbon conducts heat less quickly, so the surface appears less hot at first and the leg of the rider and pillion are thus better protected against burns from the manifold.
The parts are made exclusively in the latest, state-of-the-art manufacturing process out of carbon fibre prepreg weave in the autoclave. This procedure is also used to produce all of the high performance parts for the Moto GP and Formula 1 racing vehicles.
As with all Ilmberger carbon parts, it features a clear TUV certified coating, this not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance (with the exception of Racing parts).
